I was going to keep this blog 100% house stuff, but I can't help it. I just accepted a promotion and a hefty pay raise! Excited doesn't even cover it. I made Senior in less than 4 years out of college. I'm still in absolute shock at how this played out.
So this means I can get the house painted this year *and* not feel guilty for spending the money!
*does happy dance*

Well, a hale & hearty 'congratulations' are in order here! That is great news indeed.
[goes off pondering what *I* would do with the perks from a promotion/payraise....sigh]
Congrats...now what does it mean to make Senior?
Now the all important question...what color will you paint the house??
Senior is the next level up from Associate, which is one step up from Entry. It is expected to take about 5 years between Associate and Senior, I'll have done it in about a year and a half.
oooooooooooookay...let me be more specific...what type of work do you do? ;)
Right now I'm an engineer (mechanical). This job isn't an engineering position, though it is a promotion. I've been handling about 30% of what this job will entail, in an engineering capacity, so it will be an out growth of work I'm already doing.
Thanks!
